Moving off Stocky before it shuts down

If you run purchasing through Stocky, the shutdown is not just an app going away. Your supplier records, lead times and reorder points live inside Stocky, and none of that follows you into plain Shopify. This guide walks through the safe order to export everything, and how to rebuild it in Restockly in one sitting.

What actually disappears

Shopify keeps your products, variants and current inventory counts. It does not keep the purchasing layer Stocky sat on top of. When Stocky closes you lose:

• Supplier records, including contact details, currencies and payment terms
• Supplier lead times, the number Restockly needs to know when to reorder
• Reorder points and stock targets per product
• Purchase order history and any open orders
• Cost prices and landed cost inputs

Everything above has to be exported before the shutdown date. After it, the data is gone.

The order to do it in

1. Export your supplier list

   In Stocky, open Suppliers and export to CSV. This is the file that matters most, because supplier lead times drive every reorder decision. Save it somewhere you will still have on 1 September.

2. Export purchase orders and cost data

   Export your purchase order history and your cost or landed cost figures. Even if you do not import every old order, the cost prices are what keep your future margins honest.

3. Note your reorder points

   Export or screenshot the reorder points and stock targets you set per product. Restockly can recalculate these from your real sales pace, but starting from your own numbers saves guesswork.

4. Import into Restockly

   Install Restockly from the Shopify App Store, open the Stocky import, and upload the supplier CSV. Your suppliers, lead times and purchase orders rebuild in minutes, mapped to the products already in your store.

5. Check one supplier end to end

   Pick one supplier, confirm the lead time came across, and create a test purchase order. Once one flows cleanly, the rest will too.

What changes once you are in Restockly

Restockly reads each product's real sales pace and the supplier's lead time, then flags what is heading below its reorder point with a suggested quantity. One click turns those suggestions into a supplier purchase order as a PDF. When you receive stock against that order, your Shopify inventory updates itself.
